If you are a foreigner and do not have a reference person in Switzerland (Swiss guarantor): in addition to the rental deposit, you must pay two months of gross rent (rent + charges) in advance. These guarantees are intended to cover any potential failure to meet the tenant's obligations, such as unpaid rent or charges, and the cost of damages noted upon the tenant's departure. The amount of the guarantees will be refunded to the tenant, or the deposit will be released, after their departure, minus any amounts owed to the landlord, if applicable
